Scott serves as CCB’s Chief Operating Officer, supporting company‑wide operations and managing residential projects with a focus on precision, communication, and client satisfaction. With 41 years of experience across nearly every facet of construction, he brings unmatched depth to the team and plays a key role in shaping CCB’s processes, partnerships, and long‑term growth.
Scott began his career on a framing crew in 1985 and went on to co‑own a finish carpentry company, serve as superintendent and production manager for residential builders, lead engineering for a remodeling firm, and operate his own commercial and residential remodeling company. His experience also includes work as a licensed NC building and plumbing inspector, as well as project management and training leadership for a major production builder. For the past 18 years, he has taught construction courses for contractors and building inspectors—mentoring professionals across the state.
He is a licensed general contractor, former LEED Green Associate, former NARI Certified Remodeler, and former NC Certified Building Analyst. Scott also serves his community as a member of the Matthews Planning & Zoning Board and the Matthews Historical Association. An Eagle Scout, he brings the same values of preparedness, integrity, and service into his work at CCB.
Clients appreciate Scott’s respectful, honest approach and his ability to make them feel heard and understood. He enjoys collaborating with design partners and trade professionals to bring each client’s vision to life. His broad experience and long‑standing industry relationships make him an invaluable resource to the team.
A Matthews, NC native, Scott enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He played soccer in high school and college, and he often shares the story of spending childhood summers on Lake Norman with his grandparents and his horse, Rusty. His guiding philosophy is rooted in empathy and mindset: “You never know what kind of personal hell someone is going through—be kind, always,” and “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.”
