Steve’s career spans an unusually broad range of trades and leadership roles. He began in welding—building stainless steel pools—before moving into research and development, sheet metal installation, and teaching welding at a local college. He later managed commercial building maintenance for a major retailer, gaining deep knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. In the early 2000s, he launched his own construction company, completing commercial upfits after earning his NC Building Contractor license. He has since served as a superintendent and project manager for multiple commercial firms, leading projects that include medical offices, commercial kitchens, warehouses, and a 9,000‑sq‑ft upfit with more than 100 pages of detailed plans.
His certifications include welding, OSHA training, HVAC controls programming, and completion of a sheet metal apprenticeship. Steve is known for his ability to manage subcontractors effectively—a skill shaped by his diverse background across multiple trades.
Originally from Fort Mill, SC, Steve enjoys deep‑sea fishing, scuba diving, and flying; he is a private pilot with multi‑engine and instrument ratings. He’s also known for making homemade candies and artisan breads. Guided by the principle “Treat people as you would have them treat you,” Steve brings integrity, experience, and a commitment to excellence to every project he leads.
